We are lawyers admitted to practise in Spain and Mexico. We advise US nationals and residents on Spanish residence, visas and the tax consequences of moving, from the first assessment to the issue of the residence card.
Spain immigration lawyer for US citizens
We tell you which residence route is open to you, what the Spanish administration will require of you and what the move means for your taxes, before you commit to an application.
Moving to Spain from the United States, with the legal and tax side handled properly.
Who will your lawyers be?
Having the right strategy from the outset shapes the outcome of the process. We believe every client deserves personal attention, transparent communication and continuous legal support. Your case is not one more file: it is our responsibility, and we take it on with rigour and commitment.

Our team is made up of lawyers trained in Spain, qualified to practise in Spanish territory and registered with the ICAM — Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid.
We work in coordination from Spain and Mexico so that your application advances properly and without surprises.
Which Spanish residence route fits your case
There is no single visa for moving to Spain. The right route depends on whether you keep working for employers or clients outside Spain, live on savings or passive income, or come to study. We assess your situation and tell you which routes are open to you.
If you work remotely for employers or clients outside Spain, the route is the international teleworking residence under Law 28/2022, known as the digital nomad visa. It requires income of 200 % of the Spanish minimum wage, 2,849 €/month in 2026.
If you will not work in Spain and can support yourself from savings, pensions or passive income, the route is the non-lucrative residence. If you are coming to study, it is the student stay, which also sets the conditions under which you may work.
We review your file before it is submitted, to avoid requests for further information
